Guildford – GB2 Waterfilled Barrier Installation

In Guildford, a road closure meant for essential works faced a serious challenge whilst drivers were ignoring warnings and cutting through the prohibited zone.

This posed as a grave danger and safety risk to workers operating near open excavation sites and heavy machinery, whilst drivers passed dangerously close by.

Called in to resolve the issue, we witnessed the problem firsthand. Within minutes, three cars drove through the restricted area, endangering both themselves and the workers at roadside.

To address this, we installed GB2 waterfilled barriers; sturdy, highly visible, and designed to stay in place once filled with water. The results were immediate as drivers who previously ignored the closure now stopped and turned around, respecting the clear, reinforced boundary.

With the barriers in place, workers could perform their duties safely as the risk of accidents was drastically reduced. A simple yet effective solution transformed a chaotic situation into a secure and efficient worksite.
