Bristol Feeder Canal – Steel Sheets Installation over Timber Boarding

The Brief:

Our client approached us with a request to install a perforated steel sheet solution to secure large shed buildings located along the feeder canal in Bristol. The existing timber boarding, which had been installed several years earlier, had deteriorated significantly and was no longer effective in providing adequate security. The client sought an urgent solution to reinforce the buildings.

Our Solution:

Following a thorough site inspection, we identified that the deteriorated timber boarding needed to be replaced and reinforced. The plan was to install a new timber framework to address the weakened structure and provide a stable foundation for the new security features. The project also required the installation of security doors to allow controlled access to the buildings.

The solution involved:

• Removing the damaged sections of the original timber.
