Worthing Crematorium – Steel Hoarding

The Brief:

Worthing Crematorium will be the first in the UK to trial a new process which uses green hydrogen to power one of its three cremators. Our client FT Pipeline Systems are the lead partner to worthing borough council in this project, with others also involved in ensuring the success of the trial.

FT Pipeline Systems are supplying a twin-stream Gascat pressure reducing station which will regulate the hydrogen to ensure it is safe and efficient in powering the cremator. For this to be installed a protective perimeter was needed.

The Solution:

SafeSite Facilities installed 40 Steel hoarding panels supported by 40 concrete blocks and stabilizers. A 5m vehicle gate was also installed for ease of access.

120 Evo 55 barriers were used to ensure that pipes running along the ground were obvious and did not present a hazard to those on the site.
