Our heavy duty, easy to handle SafeMat system provides temporary access and ground protection. It is ideal for soft or sensitive ground. SafeMats have a ‘non-slip’ surface which substantially improves the grip and reduces sideways slippage, even in the most challenging weather or ground conditions.

Each SafeMat measures 14mm (height) x 1217mm (depth) x 2433mm (width), with a weight of 39kg and a load capacity of more than 120 tonnes.

Benefits

The mats are all manufactured from 100% recycled high density polyethylene (HDPE) and are weight tested to a maximum load of 120 tonnes (depending on ground conditions).

The SafeMat can provide access for heavy plant machinery, helps vehicles avoid becoming bogged down and is also the perfect solution for events such as concerts and festivals to ensure a safe walking area to improve pedestrian and crowd safety.

SafeMats can be customised with a company logo or telephone number or produced in corporate colours – subject to minimum order quantity.

Installation

The SafeMat has six strategically positioned hand holes which make it extremely easy to off-load from trucks or pallets, and is ideal for both short and long term projects.

SafeMats can be connected together using our simple yet effective Metal Hand Connector system. Their robust hand hole connection pads are locked in place by an industry leading nut, screw and washer system.

Their lightweight but heavy duty nature, also reduces transport costs, as well as enabling quick and easy installation by two operatives.
